Company History

Ungerboeck was founded in 1985 on the strength of Dieter Ungerboeck’s experience in directing the international system framework of a Fortune-500 corporation, and realizing the huge productivity gains attainable from three-dimensional systems integration: among departments, with suppliers and customers, and with consumers.

After five years of rapid growth, awards, and several highly successful projects in the events industry, Ungerboeck embarked in 1990 on developing a comprehensive and seamlessly integrated Event Business Management System (EBMS) to serve all sectors of the events industry: event organizers, venues, contractors and CVBs, and to enable electronic data interchange among them.

Today, Ungerboeck Software includes thirty seamlessly integrated modules, covering the entire business spectrum … from Marketing and CRM, to Booking, Event Planning & Budgeting, Service & Work Orders, Workforce Scheduling, Procurement, Inventory, OperationsCAD, Speaker ManagementRegistration & Housing, Audience Participation, General Accounting and Financial Analysis, and Document Management, all built from the same mold by a single team of talented software engineers.

Focus On Excellence

Ungerboeck’s success is built on the combined strengths of an efficiently comprehensive system architecture and a demanding, diversified, world-wide user community.

In keeping with Ungerboeck’s commitment to protecting and enhancing its customers’ system investment, we allocate the largest share of our resources to continuously developing functional and technological refinements, issued in two annual software releases, free of charge to all those holding active maintenance agreements.

Efficient Operations

Since Ungerboeck Software is built as a seamless enterprise-wide system from a common mold by a single software engineering team, it has up to 70% fewer parts than a combination of discordant “best-of-breed” systems. This is hugely advantageous because it enables both USI and its customers to operate more effectively at significantly lower costs.

Global Reach

For optimal responsiveness, we keep all software engineering concentrated at our St. Louis headquarters and serve our worldwide client community in over 40 countries from regional marketing and service offices in North America, Europe, (Africa), Asia, and Australia. All staff worldwide are full-time Ungerboeck employees.

Stability

Ungerboeck is privately owned by active management, and debt-free. The company owns virtually all of its assets except overseas office space. These credentials - together with Ungerboeck’s global and industry-wide reach, permit the company to manage very efficiently towards solid long-range growth and stability, unencumbered from the divergent short-range objectives of third parties.

Ungerboeck Among St. Louis “Top 50” For Sixth Consecutive Year

For the 6th consecutive year Ungerboeck Systems International has received the St. Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association’s “Greater St. Louis Top 50” award. Accepting the most recent award, Ungerboeck president Dieter K. Ungerboeck noted:

“Naturally, we are humbled to be named in such illustrious company as Citicorp, MasterCard, Maritz, and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

However, we cannot rest in our position of market leadership; We must relentlessly continue to enhance the productivity of EBMS through functionality, usability and flexibility.”
