Winner Announced for Ungerboeck's Venue Management School Bursary
Ungerboeck Software International congratulates Georgia Hendy, the 2016 recipient of the Ungerboeck Year 1 Student Bursary, awarded by the Venue Management School (VMS). Georgia Hendy, Executive Producer – Commercial Programming and Venue Hire at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, was awarded the bursary for achieving the highest academic score for her final test on completion of Year 1 at the VMS.
Accepting the award, Georgia remarked on how delighted she was to receive the bursary. “This scholarship will allow me to complete the final year of Venue Management School to learn more about the industry that I am passionate about and meet more of my industry colleagues. Through this course, I can learn about other venues, see how they work, hear other management experiences and further improve my industry practice.
“Having used Ungerboeck products for some years, this is a very special award to have won.” She added.
Ungerboeck has an extensive history with the VMS and have sponsored the bursary, covering fees and travel costs for completion of VMS Year 2, since its inception in 2005.
Derek MacMinn, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ungerboeck, Asia Pacific; commented: “Georgia is a well-deserved winner of this award and a shining example of why we continue to support the VMS bursary. We feel we are directly investing in the future of the industry in the region by recognising exceptional talent in this way. We feel sure that Georgia will, once again, achieve outstanding results in Year 2 and both Queensland Performing Arts Centre and the wider industry will benefit from the knowledge she gains.”.
