Ungerboeck excited about the next generation of leaders


The events industry needs the millennial talent to bring their attitudes, excitement, creativity and new ways of working and gathering to help innovate events industry. Much of the evolution and innovation in the industry will depend on the contribution of its future leaders. Whether in an emerging market or an evolving mature region, these leaders carry with them the promise of raising the bar for customer engagement and service delivery for the events industry globally. 

We are proud to forge strong partnerships with global and regional industry associations support a range of professional development and recognition programs for future industry leaders.

Through bursaries, scholarships and awards programs, Ungerboeck’s targeted sponsorships facilitate training, networking and mentoring for burgeoning leaders in America, Europe, the Middle-East, North Asia and Australasia.

USA IAVM’s 30 Under 30

The program provides year-round continued education for professional growth in the venue industry and helps program participants become better, more productive employees.

UFI, the Global Association for Exhbitions & Venue Management Association’s (VMA) Venue Management School in China

The program offers exhibition venue managers the opportunity to improve their operational and managerial skill sets. The curriculum covers a wide range of capabilities including leadership skills, strategic planning, marketing, people management as well as problem solving and decision-making skills.

Venue Management Association’s (VMA) Venue Management School & Young Achiever Award

These initiatives by the VMA promote the growth and development of the industry in Australasia. The programs recognise and encourage high achieving individuals to continue raising the bar and inspiring the up and coming leaders throughout all sectors.

The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) Richard Geddes Award & Young Stars Program

Through both initiatives, the EEAA aims to promote careers in the business events sector and recognise the achievements of the brightest young stars with the potential to be the future leaders of our industry. The Young Stars program provides networking and mentoring opportunities to its youngest Members while the awards program provides public recognition on the Association’s biggest stage, the EEAA Awards for Excellence.

The Saudi Event Management Academy (SEMA)

Located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, SEMA is the first event management academy in Saudi Arabia that covers all aspects of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry from concept to reality. SEMA offers high-level courses for students, managers and industry professionals.

Meetings & Events Australia’s (MEA) Young Professionals Scholarship

The Ungerboeck Young Professional Scholarship program is open to employees of the meetings and events industry 30 years of age or under with less than 3 years full time experience. Scholarships are awarded to one winner in each Australian state and territory providing them with the opportunity to attend the MEA Annual National Conference to develop their skills and network with industry leaders.
