University of Vienna on "Cloud Nine": Transition to the Ungerboeck cloud within only five weeks

The COVID-19 pandemic certainly represented a major challenge for the digitization of universities and colleges. Many institutions were forced to quickly adapt to the restrictions imposed on the players of the event industry.

The University of Vienna in Austria used this challenge as a chance to invest in technology and, in cooperation with the Ungerboeck team, moved their event management solution to the cloud. Due to the optimal support provided by the Ungerboeck team, the transition to the cloud went smoothly and professionally.

Falk Pastner, Head of Department Event Management & Conference Services at the University of Vienna, is very satisfied with Ungerboeck's expertise and service quality as well as the advice provided by Account Management: "Working with Ungerboeck proved to be very pleasant, and we particularly liked the fast, efficient communication with the team. After just five weeks, we went live and were able to start using the advantages of the cloud. Thus, we are well prepared for the future knowing that our event software is managed securely and in a contemporary way in the cloud at all times".

By using the cloud, all Ungerboeck extensions are now available to the University of Vienna, so that additional functionalities can be selected as needed, for example Mobile Work Orders.

Matthias Eberlein, Customer Success Manager, managed the project in cooperation with Mark Pembroke, Client Care Consultant. Thomas Ried, Team Lead IT, provided technical support for the project.

Stefanie Fritz, Account Manager at Ungerboeck and contact person for the University of Vienna, is also very pleased with the cooperation: "We appreciate the future-oriented thinking of the University of Vienna - with the transition to the cloud, the university has taken an important step towards digitization paving the way for contemporary software use in the university sector".
